Visions - ACC Fashion

Working in a team of 6 and collaborating with the ACC fashion department, we needed to create a logo that represent the 13 students in the showcase and the theme Visions.

Creative Brief

This project was for the ACC Fashion showcase that is held ever year for their graduating students. This year's theme was Visions. The Creative Brief is attached below.

Student Mood Boards

This is the combination of 13 students mood boards individually.

Final Mood Board

This is the final mood board after revision's and feedback given by the students. There's a little bit of each member's idea in this board. The client wanted a High-Impact, dream like, surrealism approach to the design.

Logo Digital Drafts

After picking the best 3 designs and making revisions this is what we presented to the client

Logo Revisions

Trying different revisions of the logo after the feedback. The client wanted a fabric and marble like design flowing through the words. We played around with different colors from the mood board and sheerness of the fabric

Challenges

Some creative challenges we faced was mainly making all 13 students happy. A lot of the feedback at times were conflicting to one another. As a group we had to deceiver what our client wanted based off feedback, and thoroughly communicate with them to get a better understanding.

When doing revisions for the logo they wanted to add fabric weaving through the letters that also had a marble effect. This was another challenge we faced. As much as tried to execute what the client was asking for it just could not be done. With this we did have to slightly change our color scheme to fit the idea that they wanted and get a better execution.

Reflections

I learned how to work in a team and real life client for the first time. Based off what they wanted I do believe we were able to achieve what they were asking for. This project helped to push me better as a designer and taught me to use my voice more. Sometimes in groups you get a mix of personalities. In the beginning I tend to be more on the quiet side and felt like some of my ideas were shut down by a member on the team. This taught me to stand up for myself and be more vocal with my ideas and explain my why's and reasonings
